Joseph and Mary (nee Cropper) Forrester
Harold Arthur’s Grandparents
Joseph was born in Oldbury in 1859 and married Mary Cropper in 1886, Joseph was 27 and Mary 21. Joseph’s occupation was a joiner and he died in 1920 at the age of 61. Mary was born in 1865 and she passed away in 1955 at the age of 89.
Joseph and Mary Forrester had 8 children, one daughter and seven sons.
Selina born 1887, she died but we have no records
Freeman born 1888, he died in 1944 aged 56
Joseph born 1890, he died in 1918 aged 28
John born 1894, he died in 1953 aged 58
Frank born in 1898, he died in the late 1940’s.
George born in 1902, he has died but we have no records
Harold (Snr), was born in 1903 and he died in 1975 aged 72 ( Father to Harold Arthur Forrester)
Henry, known as Harry was born in 1905, he has died but we have no records.

Harold Arthur Forrester’s Parents
Harold Forrester (Snr), Born in 1903, married Lilian Longden in 1924. Harold was a steel wire cleaner and he died in 1975 at the age of 72. In 1921 at the age of 18 he was working for J Shipman & Co in Sheffield
Lilian Forrester (nee Longden), was born in 1904 and she died in 1931 at the age of 27. Lillian’s father was Arthur James Longden, a blacksmith who died in 1931 at the age of 68.
Lilian was the daughter of Arthur and Theresa Londen.They had nine children including Lilian.

Lilian at the age of 16 went to live with her oldest sister Mary (known as Alice) as their domestic.
Harold and Lilian had two children, a daughter Theresa Lillian Forrester who was born in 1924 and died in 1969, a son Harold Arthur Forrester who was born in 1927 and until 2022 was head of the family.

Harold Arthur Forrester passed away peacefully in Nov 22 at the age of 95.
Theresa Lilian Forrester ( Sister ) - 1924 to 1969
Harold’s sister – Theresa Forrester (nee Metcalf), she died at the age of 45 in 1969. Her son, Alan Metcalf is currently the head of the Metcalf Family Tree
Modern Day - Harold Arthur Forrester - Family Tree
Harold Arthur Forrester was born in April 1927. He started is working life as a draughtsman, working his way up to being a Works Engineer.
Harold passed away on the 26th November 2022 at a grand old age of 95.
Joan Forrester (nee Taylor ) was born in March 1931, the youngest of the three sisters, Winifred and Vera.
Joan met Harold when she was 16, marrying Harold four years later, Harold was 24 and Joan was 20.
Joan sadly passed away on the 29th February 2016 at a grand old age of 85.
